Here are four things to know about the partnership.
1. Under the partnership, Change Healthcare and SourceMed will work to provide solutions “that drive automation and improve back office billing processes,” officials said.
2. The partnership will leverage Change Healthcare’s revenue performance advisor solution, formerly Emdeon One, as well as SourceMed’s practice management solutions.
3. The premise for the partnership is that providers are better served when their needs for practice management, billing and revenue cycle solutions are seamlessly integrated, officials said.
4. Kris Joshi, executive vice president of Change Healthcare, expressed excitement about the partnership. “Improved visibility throughout the lifecycle of a claim delivers greater insights into patient responsibility, increasing collection rates, reducing accounts receivable days outstanding and providing more visibility into an organization’s overall business performance,” he said in a prepared statement. “The workflow and productivity gained from these more tightly integrated solutions will create efficiencies throughout the revenue cycle.”
