DataRails, a financial planning and analysis platform, evaluated 2,056 companies during the forecast period; 56 percent of companies recorded at least one CFO change and 16 percent saw more than one turnover. Across industries, this equates to CFOs having the worst job security of anyone in the C-suite.
Chief technology officers recorded the highest staying power (4.64 years) in the five-year period, followed by chief marketing officers (4.63 years), general counsel (4.50 years) and CEOs (3.89 years), according to the analysis.
