Mr. Sial worked in the health insurance industry before he took a position as vice president of finance at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia. There, he helped create a physician hospital organization. Later, he became CFO of University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, where he put in place a scorecard system that measured operating performance and drove the system’s operating margin to rank in the top 10th percentile of academic medical centers nationwide.
Mr. Sial earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from the University of Delhi in India and his MBA from Virginia Tech.
