CFO Mahomed Ouedraogo: ACCESS Community Health Network’s financial foundation

CFO Mahomed Ouedraogo has served as the CFO of Chicago-based ACCESS Community Health Network since he was appointed to the role in 2011.

Mr. Ouedraogo boasts an expansive background in financial management and planning that has only been strengthened during his time at ACCESS. Prior to his appointment, he served as director of finance and director of analysis and grants accounting for the health network.

In total, he manages finances and reporting for more than $20 million in city, state, federal and private operating grants each year while establishing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving state and federal laws and regulations.

Managing the organization’s financial systems — including monthly financial close processes, daily cash management, and audit processes and internal controls — is just one of Mr. Ouedraogo’s responsibilities. He also deals with systems technology design and implementation as well as risk management.

Before joining ACCESS, Mr. Ouedraogo worked for an accounting firm where he managed audit engagements for clients in various industries, including healthcare.

Mr. Ouedraogo is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
