Agnesian operates three hospitals, including two critical access hospitals: Waupun (Wis.) Memorial Hospital and Ripon (Wis.) Medical Center. Its flagship 167-bed St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac helps the system retain its strong market share in the east-central Wisconsin region.
Moody’s Investors Service assigned an “A3” rating to its $48.9 million in bonds, after Agnesian posted particularly strong operating performance for the past two years with a 12.8 percent operating cash flow in fiscal year 2011 and 12.1 percent in FY 2012. At the end of its FY 2012 ended June 30, the system held 176 days cash on hand.
Ms. Schmitz, a CPA, earned her bachelor’s degree in business and accounting and her MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
