Health Resource Group recently released case studies that highlight issues with staffing and A/R at 3 separate locations: Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District, Modoc Medical Center and McKenzie County Healthcare Systems, Inc.
With the assitance of Health Resource Group, these 3 organizations were able to overcome their diffculties and take back control of accounts receivable.
Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District
This Snoqualmie, Was. based hospital was in need of managing days in accounts receivable to an acceptable number. However, the hospital was unable to find employees that fit the bill for the business office.
HRG provided full Central Business Office services to the hospital and the hospital’s days in A/R is now at a steady at 50 to 55 days.
Snoqualmie’s Chief Financial Officer Steve Daniel commented, “HRG is very cooperative and works with us to resolve issues. I would recommend HRG to other facilities.”
Modoc Medical Center
The Alturas, Calif.-based critical access hospital was also having issues in finding appropriate staff for its billing office and having too many days in A/R.
With HRG supporting all it’s Business Office Operations, Modoc’s days in A/R went from 101 to 74.
Modoc’s Chief Financial Officer William VanNoy noted, “They always seem open to listening our concerns and owrking with us to resolve.”
McKenzie County Healthcare Systems
Watford City, ND-based MCHS was more unique than the others as it saw job competition from a recent barrage of oil activity that created high paying job opportunities. They needed more staff and had their accounts receivable on the rise.
HRG assisted with both. HRG provided MCHS with a partner that had experience with the Healthland system.
HRG helped MCHS reduce A/R by 30 days and improve cash collections.
