The wing will be co-managed by the health insurer, staffed by Kaiser physicians and will be branded with the Kaiser logo. As part of the deal, which was announced in April, Kaiser will direct more of its members to the hospital for care.
The wing is the second co-managed by Kaiser in the area. The insurer currently co-managed a 24-bed wing at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., according to the report.
