California hospital fined for price transparency violation

CMS has fined West Covina (Calif.)  Medical Center alleged price transparency violations.

The system, which has fewer than 30 beds, was fined $59,100 on Sept. 27 for alleged noncompliance, according to CMS’ hospital price transparency enforcement website. 

West Covina Medical Center has 30 days from the issuance date to appeal the fine.
