CO-OP CEO Elected Illinois HFMA President

Dan Yunker, CEO of Land of Lincoln Health, the Illinois health insurance CO-OP that was last to receive federal funding before the fiscal cliff deal at the start of the year, was elected president of the First Illinois Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Mr. Yunker will replace Tracey Coyne, who is senior manager at Grant Thornton. Ms. Coyne will remain as a board member of the chapter.

Others recently elected as officers or board members include Secretary Adam Lynch of Principle Valuation; Treasurer Mary Treacy Shiff, vice president of finance at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Ill.; and board member Gary Breuer, vice president of revenue cycle at Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Alexian Brothers Health System.
