Broward Health North to Begin $70M Expansion, Renovation

Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, Fla., has plans to break ground on a $70 million expansion and renovation project, according to a South Florida Business Journal report.

The expansion will include adding a 35,000-square-foot emergency department with three trauma bays as well as six operating rooms comprising 15,000 square feet. The hospital also plans to build a central energy plant.

The entire project is slated to be completed by 2016, according to the report.
