Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Anthem Blue Cross Reach Agreement

Stanford Hospitals & Clinics, based in Palo Alto, Calif., and Anthem Blue Cross of California have reached a new three-year health insurance provider agreement, effective Sept. 1, 2011, according to a Stanford news release.

Stanford Hospital, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, the faculty physicians at both hospitals and the Menlo Clinic are all in-network providers for Anthem Blue Cross patients, and the hospital system said the two sides were finally able to agree on reimbursement rates and contract language that are “relevant to today’s healthcare environment.”
