Baystate Franklin Medical Center plans $23M construction project

Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Mass., is planning a $23 million construction project, according to a report by The Recorder.

The project includes the construction of a 23,000-square-foot building as well as replacing and renovating its current operating rooms. The new building would also feature pre-operation and recovery rooms, a loading dock and waiting area.

The Massachusetts Public Health Council approved the hospital's request for determination of need to support its plan. Construction is expected to start in the fall and be completed by spring 2016, according to the report.
