Baylor Health Care System Launches $250M Fundraising Campaign

Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System has launched a formal fundraising campaign, hoping to raise $250 million by 2015 to invest in research, capital projects and patient-centered programs.

This is Baylor’s first fundraising campaign in its 110-year history. So far, the Baylor Health Care System Foundation has raised $165 million toward the goal.

Baylor has 30 acute-care hospitals and more than 200 other affiliated facilities. In December, the health system announced it had signed an agreement of intent to merge with Scott & White Healthcare in Temple, Texas.
