Bayhealth plans $15.5M expansion at Kent General Hospital

Dover, Del.-based Bayhealth is planning a $15.5 million expansion project at Kent General Hospital in Dover, according to a Delaware State News report.

The expansion will include the addition of 32 private intermediate care unit rooms and four private bariatric rooms as well as state-of-the-art equipment. This will allow the hospital to provide care for less seriously injured patients outside the emergency department, freeing up ED wait times.

The project is slated to be completed by January 2015, according to the report.
