Mr. Baiada succeeded his father, Mark Baiada, who founded the company in 1975.
“Believed to be the first transition of its kind in the home healthcare industry, this transition is designed to protect the company from sale and help to ensure that Bayada’s mission, vision, values and beliefs … will endure for generations to come,” the company said.
Mr. Mark Baiada will become chairman during the transition, focusing on Bayada’s incremental transition into a nonprofit during the next two years.
