Specifically, R1 will provide RCM services across Amita’s acute care hospitals and physician settings.

The 19-hospital Amita is one of the largest health systems in Illinois. Its decision to choose R1 comes nearly four months after Chicago-based Presence Health became part of St. Louis-based Ascension and added its care sites to Amita.

Presence Health also entered into an RCM agreement with R1, per a term sheet announced in February. Amita and R1 said they also signed a term sheet and anticipate entering and implementing a 10-year agreement in the second half of this year.
