AMA issues 23 proprietary analyses codes for laboratory test makers to track reimbursement

The American Medical Association published 23 billing codes for proprietary laboratory analyses since Dec. 2, 2016.

The codes track reimbursement of clinical laboratory tests either provided by a single laboratory or  licensed or marketed to laboratories, according to the AMA. Some of the tests analyze infectious diseases, DNA, oncology gene expression and prescription drug monitoring.
