Albany Medical Center Plans $21.7M Renovation Project, Seeks Tax-Exempt Bonds

Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center is seeking a tax-exempt bond to finance an approximately $21.7 million renovation project, according to an Albany Business Review report.

The hospital filed a loan application with the city of Albany's Capital Resource Corp., saying that the project would create 22 permanent jobs and 100 temporary construction jobs.

Plans for the project include renovating around 45,000 square feet of operating room and related spaces as well as expanding the children's surgery space, roof replacement and other renovations, according to the report.
