Alabama governor sets aside $10M for reopening of hospital

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has set aside $10 million for the reopening of Carrollton, Ala.-based Pickens County Hospital, local news outlet 6WBRC reported March 24.

The funding would be used to bring the hospital back up to code and reopen the emergency room, but it will still need a review from the state legislature.

The hospital closed in 2020 due to its poor financial condition.
