AHA, Others Launch Enroll America to Secure Health Coverage for Uninsured

Several healthcare groups, including the American Hospital Association, have launched Enroll America, a new organization dedicated to securing health coverage enrollment under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act for the nation’s uninsured, according to an Enroll America news release (pdf).

According to the release, Enroll America has two main priorities:

•    Promote better ways to make the healthcare enrollment process simple, streamlined and seamless.
•    Organize a massive public information and advertising campaign in 2013 and 2014 to let Americans know about the new opportunities they will have to obtain affordable health coverage under the PPACA.

Additional groups involved with Enroll America’s formulation include Kaiser Permanente, Blue Shield of California, Catholic Health Association and numerous others.
