Primary procedures in the package include all related surgical procedures as part of the knee replacement, anesthesia services, drugs administered during the procedure, imaging services, surgical supply costs, discharge planning, nurse care and office visits. The partnership took affect on Dec. 15, 2012, and applies to all Florida Blue commercial plans.
Both sides hope the partnership will reduce the overall cost of knee replacement surgery.
