AGS Health acquires patient access outsourcing business

Revenue cycle management company AGS Health has acquired the India-based patient access outsourcing business of healthcare technology company Availity.

The acquisition will allow AGS to expand its artificial intelligence platform’s capabilities with new technology to improve accuracy and scalability and streamline patient access operations, according to a Feb. 21 AGS news release.  

The acquisitions will add about 200 patient access service employees to AGS, which employs more than 11,000 RCM experts globally, according to the release.
