Adventist La Grange Hospital to renovate, expand over next 18 months

Adventist La Grange (Ill.) Hospital has announced it will be undertaking a major capital project over the next 18 months that will include increasing the number of emergency department rooms at the hospital from 16 to 23, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

The project is expected to cost nearly $10 million, and along with adding more ED rooms, the existing rooms will also get solid walls and doors to replace curtains that are currently used for separation.

The renovation will allow for equipment to be mounted on the ED room walls, which will enable patients to be registered at their bedsides instead of in the lobby area, according to the report.
