Accretive Health shakes up leadership: 6 things to know

Accretive Health, a provider of revenue cycle services and physician advisory services to healthcare providers, has made changes to its senior management that it says will align the organization for its next phase of growth.

Here are six things to know about the changes.

Joseph Flanagan was appointed president and COO.

1. Mr. Flanagan joined Accretive in April 2013 after serving as senior vice president of worldwide operations and supply chain at Applied Materials, a provider of materials engineering solutions based in Santa Clara, Calif.

2. Previously, Mr. Flanagan also was president of Nortel Business Services for Nortel Networks, and served most of his career working for General Electric.

Christopher Ricaurte, was appointed CFO and treasurer.

3. Mr. Ricaurte currently serves as senior vice president of revenue cycle operations for Accretive Health, responsible for all of the company's centers of excellence in the U.S. and India.

4. Before joining Accretive, he was CFO of Silicon Systems Group at Applied Materials.

5. Previously, he was also president of Nortel Business Services, where he had also held the position of CFO of global operations. Before that, Mr. Ricaurte was CFO of CHEP Europe in London. He also worked for GE for more than two decades.

6. In his new role, he will succeed Peter Csapo, who is stepping down.
