Other key findings from the HHS report include:
- During the first month of open enrollment, more than 4 million people signed up or re-enrolled in coverage using the federal and state marketplaces.
- In the 37 states that are using the HealthCare.gov platform for 2015, 3.4 million people had selected a plan as of Dec. 15.
- Of the 3.4 million people using HealthCare.gov to select an insurance plan, 1.6 million re-enrolled in a marketplace plan and 1.8 million signed up for a marketplace plan for the first time.
