The hospital’s new 44,000-square-foot surgical suite will be attached to its current facilities. As part of the expansion, Lawrence General Hospital will invest in new technology for computer-assisted surgery.
The expansion and renovation project will allow the hospital to provide better treatment to the roughly 70,000 patients that visit Lawrence General Hospital annually. “We’ll be able to provide greater capacity and space for trauma surgeries that need to occur,” said Denise Palumbo, executive vice president and COO of Lawrence General Hospital, in the report.
