5 hospital CFOs in the headlines this week

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news this past week.

1. Lee Bennett was in the news this week as he resigned as CFO of Sitka (Ala.) Community Hospital.

2. James Brasel was in the news this week as he was selected to serve as the new CFO at Jane Phillips Medical Center, located in Bartlesville, Okla.

3. The former CFO at Ishpeming, Mich.-based Bell Hospital was in the news this week as he filed an age discrimination lawsuit against Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint.

4. Wayne Allen, who has served as interim CEO and CFO of Fort Bragg, Calif.-based Medocino Coast District Hospital for the past three years, was in the news this week as he announced his retirement.

5. Vinson Yates, senior vice president and CFO at Columbus-based OhioHealth, was in the news this week discussing how newly recruited physicians are helping drive financial improvements at the system.
