Scott Smith, CFO of ACRMC, said the hospital was losing an average of $3 million per year, but a reduction in errors and the improvement of proper pricing, charging and coding helped to bring in new revenue.
The chargemaster software was also able to provide instant access to financial and regulatory coding resources, which helped identify roughly $1.3 million in potential financial performance improvements.
