AHA sent letters to every member of Congress expressing support for two bills:
- The R-HoPE Act, which would extend several provisions, including outpatient hold harmless payments and direct billing for the technical component of pathology services; and
- The Rural Hospital Access Act, which would extend the Medicare-dependent hospital program and the enhanced Medicare low-volume adjustment through September 30, 2013.
