Three revenue cycle management companies backed by private equity firm New Mountain Capital have combined to create an AI-powered RCM platform.

Smarter Technologies is a combination of Access Healthcare, SmarterDx and Thoughtful.ai, according to a May 19 news release. The combined company serves more than 200 clients — including 60 hospitals and health systems — and more than 500,000 providers. The company processes more than 400 million transactions and manages more than $200 billion in combined revenue annually.

“We identified the market leaders across the most important areas of agentic-AI, machine learning and clinical data, and large-scale automation in the three companies and are now combining them to create the innovation leader of the sector,” Matt Holt, New Mountain’s managing director and president of private equity, said in the release.

New Mountain Capital Executive Advisor Jeremy Delinsky will serve as CEO of Smarter Technologies. Mr. Delinsky was the founding COO of Medicare Advantage startup Devoted Health. He served as a board member of R1 RCM from June 2022 through November 2024 and served as Wayfair’s chief technology officer from 2015 to 2017, according to his LinkedIn page.

Leaders from SmarterDx, Thoughtful.ai and Access Healthcare will continue to oversee their respective businesses under the Smarter Technologies umbrella, according to the release.
