Texas Republican and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey and four others were plaintiffs in the case, claiming that private insurance provided better coverage and that some wealthy individuals prefer to pay directly for their healthcare, according to the report. The case was funded by conservative advocacy group The Fund For Personal Liberty.
Justices did not comment on the decision.
