Mr. Swedish has led Trinity since December 2004 and has been a Trinity Health Board member since July 2011. Under his leadership, Trinity Health’s revenues increased from $5.7 billion in 2005 to $8.9 billion in 2012. He has 40 years of healthcare leadership experience.
At WellPoint, Mr. Swedish will earn a base salary of $1.25 million and can earn up to roughly $3.8 million in incentives, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. He will start at WellPoint on March 25.
