The medical center wants up to $100 million in industrial revenue bonds from the Wichita City Council to finance the multiphase project.
If approved, the medical center’s makeover would include a renovation of its fourth floor, an expanded intensive care unit, more critical care beds and facility infrastructure upgrades. The medical office buildings next to the medical center also would be expanded.
Upon completion of the project, Wesley Medical Center expects to add 66 jobs.
The city council is expected to review the medical center’s proposal in June.
