UPMC Chautauqua WCA breaks ground on maternity, mental health expansion

Jamestown, N.Y.-based UPMC Chautauqua WCA broke ground May 19 on a 18,000-square-foot addition to house maternity and psychiatric services, according to The Post-Journal.

The units for women’s and maternity care and adolescent and adult mental health services were funded by roughly $20 million of $26.4 million granted to the hospital from the state last year.

Hospital officials expect construction on the project to begin soon, and the addition is set to open in 2019, the report states.
