Here are five things to know about the project.
1. The hospital broke ground on the $12 million, 30,000-square-foot health pavilion Jan. 12.
2. The health pavilion will include a full-service emergency department, outpatient services and a medical office building, the hospital said on its Facebook page.
3. South Lake Hospital expects to hire between 35 and 50 employees for emergency and outpatient services, and also expects additional jobs will be added as physician practices join the campus in the medical office building, according to the report, which cites information from the hospital.
4. The health pavilion, located just north of the hospital’s main campus in Clermont, is expected to open in fall 2017.
5. According to the Orlando Business Journal, the health pavilion is only part of South Lake Hospital’s $50 million expansion.
