Sentara Norfolk nears completion of $199M expansion: 3 things to know

Sentara Norfolk (Va.) General Hospital will wrap up construction of its $199 million expansion project by the end of June, according to a WVEC report.

Here are three things to know:

1. The expansion will add two floors to the hospital’s Kaufmann Pavilion and three floors to the hospital’s River Pavilion.

2. The project will expand the emergency department, consolidate the hospital’s 54 intensive care unit beds to two floors and build a rooftop helipad.

3. More than 190 patients are expected to move into the new spaces between July 17-July 20.
