Waukesha, Wis.-based ProHealth Care will build a $55 million hospital in Mukwonago, Wis., according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The new hospital, which will be added to ProHealth's existing campus that houses a medical office building and emergency department, will have 24 beds. The hospital will not have an intensive care unit, nor a labor and delivery ward.
"We have been enhancing our services in Mukwonago for a number of years," said Susan Edwards, ProHealth's CEO.. "Now we're ready to take a big step forward. We are excited to bring hospital services to residents of the Mukwonago area for the first time."
Construction is scheduled to begin this summer.
