The new 53,000-square-foot facility will replace the existing 18,000-square-foot West Feliciana Parish Hospital, which will be repurposed at a later date.
In addition to increased space, the new facility will house 12 inpatient rooms, a private triage area, six exam rooms, a laboratory, two trauma rooms and updated medical equipment.
The new critical access hospital will also offer expanded services such as cardiology, podiatry, pediatrics and gynecology.
