Upon completion of the replacement facility, the existing hospital building, which was constructed in 1957, will be demolished.
The replacement facility will house 14 inpatient beds, a chemotherapy center, a rehabilitation gym, primary care offices and a radiology department. The hospital will be able to withstand winds in excess of 150 mph in the event of a hurricane.
