Mercy Health to open $133M Arkansas hospital tower Oct. 21

Rogers-based Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas plans to open its $133 million, seven-story patient tower Oct. 21, according to local news website Talk Business & Politics.

The tower will house an intensive care unit, a women's health department, neonatal care space, a hospital pharmacy and lab services.

The hospital is leaving the top two floors of the seven-story tower empty, to fill as demand dictates, according to the report. When the sixth and seventh floor open, the new tower will have 142 new rooms.

The hospital addition was about $15 million over budget due to plan modifications, and weather delays set back construction about 90 days, according to the report.
