Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital unveils ED expansion: 3 things to know

 Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, located in Hollywood, Fla., recently completed an expansion of its emergency department, reports the Hollywood Gazette.

Here are three things to know about the expansion.

  1. The project added 14 new beds, bringing the ED’s total bed count to 36.
  2. The new ED contains a baseball themed décor for kids.
  3. A “Short Stop” area is used to treat and discharge patients with minor illnesses or injuries, according to the report.
