Iora Health to open 10 primary care clinics

Iora Health, a value-based primary care provider with a focus on Medicaid patients, is teaming up with Humana to open 10 primary care clinics across the U.S.

The 10 clinics will open in Tacoma, Wash., Tucson, Ariz., Phoenix and Atlanta.

The practices will provide Humana's Medicare Advantage members access to Iora Health's clinics. The primary care clinics connect each patient with a integrated care team, offer 24/7 access to care by phone for urgent needs, on-site lab services and same- or next- day appointments.

"All of our patients get a full care team that respects and listens to them and addresses both their health needs and the social determinants of health that impact their care. The investments pay off; Iora patients in one study saw a 50 percent decrease in hospitalizations and a 20 percent decrease in ER visits," said Duncan Reece, executive vice president of market operations at Iora Health. "We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Humana to be able to care for even more older adults in Arizona, Georgia and Washington."
