Colorado hospital breaks ground on office building: 3 things to know

Construction of the new St. Thomas More Hospital medical office building in Cañon City, Colo., broke ground Tuesday, according to The Daily Record.

Here are three things to know about the facility.

1. The 40,000 square foot, three-story facility will connect to the hospital’s outpatient rehabilitation center, according to the report.

2. Features of the facility will include:

  • A cafe/coffee bar
  • OB/GYN physician practices
  • An orthopedic practice suite
  • A digital X-ray suite
  • General medicine and pediatric practices
  • Family medicine practices
  • A suite designed for various specialists

3. The hospital expects the medical office building to cost between $4 million to $5 million and open in fall 2017.
