Here are four things to know about the project.

1. The hospital and medical office complex will house services including general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, gastroenterology, pain management and urology. It will also include an outpatient imaging center, sports health and rehabilitation services, a specialty physician clinic and dispensary pharmacy.

2. The multistory facility will cover about 130,000 square feet. It will allow Milwaukee-based Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and Aurora West Allis (Wis.) Medical Center to extend their capacities.

3. The project is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs.

4. Aurora expects construction to start later this year and to complete the project by mid-2019, pending government approvals.
