The 233,613-square-foot hospital will house 24 beds, an emergency department and five operating rooms. The ED and inpatient unit will open later in January. “Due to a tiered-approach to state licensing and certifications, the [ED] and inpatient unit will open to the public in the coming weeks,” the hospital said, according to the Arkansas Times.
Pediatric subspecialists and therapists will begin seeing patients Tuesday in the Pat & Willard Walker Family Outpatient Clinics, which is on the third floor of the facility.
At an event celebrating the upcoming grand opening, Arkansas Children’s Northwest announced an $8 million donation from the Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation.
