Adventist plans HQ expansion

Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System has unveiled plans to expand its national headquarters, including a new office building and multi-story parking garage, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

Adventist’s existing corporate campus currently includes two office buildings and a parking garage. Its first headquarters building opened in 2011 for 350 employees, and the second building opened in 2013 for 460 employees, according to the report.

The expansion plans include a new five-story, 164,000-square-foot office building, a new seven-story, 710-space parking garage and a new 26-space surface parking lot. The new office will accommodate 850 out of the 2,300 corporate employees in Central Florida, health system officials told the Orlando Business Journal.

System-wide, Adventist has a total of more than 78,000 employees. It manages 46 hospitals and 8,300 licensed beds in 10 states.
