The health system will use the funding to incorporate the EHR and enterprise resource planning system across the recently acquired Ashland, Ky.-based King’s Daughters Health System and Morehead-based St. Claire HealthCare.
“This project is to extend the use of our instance of Epic to both of those organizations,” UK Chief Procurement Officer Barry Swanson told the news outlet. “It also brings in then, the enterprise resource planning tools for both of those organizations, and that tool is basically the general ledger. It’s the payroll system, it’s the supply chain system, for them to really operate their healthcare organizations.”
UK HealthCare expects to go live with Workday at King’s Daughters and St. Claire in spring 2026 and with Epic that summer.
