Providers with Parkview Physicians Group Psychiatry are now using software from Genomind that allows them to click on a link in the EHR to analyze patients’ medication regimens and suggest alternatives based on their genetics.

“These unique analytics and genetic testing capabilities provide Parkview providers with another tool designed to help eliminate avoidable drug risks and improve overall care quality for vulnerable patients receiving care,” Parkview Physicians Group psychiatrist Jay Fawver, MD, stated in an Aug. 9 Genomind news release.

Genomind co-CEO Cynthia Kilroy stated that the company’s software offers “personalized therapeutic approaches for patients based on their individual genetic makeup, and are designed to improve the triple aim, including patient and physician satisfaction and reduced medical expenses.”
