The VA currently has 25 planned Oracle Cerner rollout sites for 2023. Issues at rollout sites and rising costs caused the VA to pause the rollout in July 2022 indefinitely.
A recent report from the Institute for Defense Analyses estimated that deploying the EHR system at all VA medical centers would cost more than $50 billion over 28 years.
