Oracle adds new integration to EHR

Oracle Health EHR, formerly recognized as Cerner Millennium, is adding a new integration called the Oracle Identity Governance.

The new integration, according to a Feb. 15 news release from Oracle, allows healthcare organizations to oversee user access to electronic health records, synchronize data, and elevate both security measures and operational efficiency.

Key features of the Oracle Identity Governance integration include:

  1. Data synchronization: Ensuring accurate synchronization of identity information between Oracle Health EHR and Oracle Identity Governance.

  2. User provisioning and management: Streamlining healthcare user management, encompassing account creation, role assignments and access control.

  3. Access control and role management: Exerting control over user access and roles in healthcare systems to ensure appropriate access levels.

  4. Compliance management: Assisting in compliance objectives, such as HIPAA and HITECH regulations, through simplified access reviews, segregation of duties controls, safeguarding sensitive patient information and facilitating regular auditing.
